Middle school classes are held for 16 Wednesday evenings, 7:00 – 8:30 PM, throughout the faith formation year. We begin with a large group teaching in the Church Hall and then split into grade-specific small group classes to discuss the topic more in depth. We also explore ways to apply the lesson to our lives at the middle school comprehension level.
Our Theme for the 2017-18 Formation Year: “The Bible and the Mass”. God foreshadowed the ultimate Sacrifice of Christ throughout Salvation History; His Sacrifice is made present in the Mass. This year we will see how the Mass is the proper context for the Bible – how the Bible is a gift to us both to show us Christ’s self-offering and to teach us how to offer ourselves to God through the liturgy of the Eucharist.
In addition to the regular Wednesday evening classes, students must complete six FIATs during the academic year and summer.
